Self portrait (4 paintings)

A moment of reflection caught in four separate canvases. The woman walks through the cafe, serving wine. Wine is associated with Christ who died at the cross, a terrible deed of mankind. The blue birds are attached to the cross, protective, sensitive, beautiful blue, living shrine, an excuse. Blue symbolizes the virgin Mary who still morns about the death of her child, she doesn't accuse, she forgives. 

The woman in the blue dress is surrounded by objects who are symbolizing her current state of mind. The cafe scene changes into a scene in her old cathedral, a sacred place. The overpowering greatness of gothic architecture makes us aware of the unlimited possibilities of our spiritual being. The woman holds a golden cup filed with water, symbol of rebirth, purification of sins.
