As Jean Cocteau once said: " Art is a marriage between the conscious and the unconscious". The symbolism which we so hastely ignore in our daily life, messages of the past, wisdom of our ancestors, the beauty of everday simple objects and encounters with strangers who inspire us. When the rational control meets the wild forces of dreams
As Jean Cocteau once said: " Art is a marriage between the conscious and the unconscious". The symbolism which we so hastely ignore in our daily life, messages of the past, wisdom of our ancestors, the beauty of everday simple objects and encounters with strangers who inspire us. When the rational control meets the wild forces of dreams and there we create other worlds of fantasy and beauty. The fascination with the supernatural and mythical.
We can recognise our own feelings in the mirrors of books, history, symbolism and people.
Somehow we are all connected through the language of art. The fascination of the aesthetic which makes us feel connected with the past and the spiritual world, a timeless romance with life.

She lived and worked in Vienna, Hamburg and Paris. In Coral Cables, Florida she had her first solo exhibition at Astoria Fin art and taught the art of Fresco painting at the Artcenter of South Florida. Back in The Hague, she works daily on her oeuvre at her studio in the attic of her residence.
Her large oil paintings derive from a distinctive aesthetic world. She converts everyday objects and luxury items into relics against a background of American glamour and European romance. Imbued with elements of expressionism to denote emotive nuance and verve, the work embodies a sensitive approach to the depiction of the interior world in a balanced and harmonious manner.
